Finnish Criminal Sanctions Agency changes its name to Prison and Probation Service

As a part of the organisation reform introduced on 1 September 2022, the Criminal Sanctions Agency changes its English name to Prison and Probation Service of Finland. The aim of the change is to have an explicit name that is easily recognised and understood internationally. The organisation’s official Finnish name Rikosseuraamuslaitos and its abbreviation Rise and the Swedish name Brottspåföljdsmyndigheten remain the same.
