Päivi Kaikkonen appointed as new Head of Communications of the Criminal Sanctions Agency

The Criminal Sanctions Agency appointed Päivi Kaikkonen as its new Head of Communications. Kaikkonen starts at the Central Administration of the Criminal Sanctions Agency on 1 April 2020. Päivi Kaikkonen, who has Master’s degree in Social Sciences, worked previously as Head of Communications at the Regional State Administrative Agency of Lapland.

She has a long career as Head of Communications and in various development projects first in the State Provincial Office of Lapland and, since 2010, in the Regional State Administrative Agency of Lapland. In addition, Kaikkonen has several years of experience as a journalist for various media such as the tabloid Iltasanomat.

— Over the years, communication has become more and more important also in state organisations. Management is communication and the demands on communications have increased continuously. I am very pleased to be able to provide communications services together with the competent staff of the Criminal Sanctions Agency, says Päivi Kaikkonen.

As Head of Communications, Kaikkonen will lead the Communications Services of the Criminal Sanctions Agency and be a member of the management groups of the Criminal Sanctions Agency and its Central Administration. Kaikkonen is appointed for a fixed term from 1 April 2020 to 30 June 2020 and permanently starting from 1 July 2020 if the former holder of the post does not return.
